LOOSE THREADS - OPEN STUDIO FRIDAYS

Fridays • 4:30 - 7:30 pm • October 2, 9, 23, November 6, 13, 20, December 4, 11

Open Studio Fridays • 4:30–7:30 pm Adults • 8 spots • For independent sewers and menders Bring the thing you've been meaning to fix. The jeans with the blown-out knee, the quilt top that's been half-finished since spring. Loose Threads is three hours on a Friday with our machines, irons, cutting tables, and notions, and good company. There's no lesson and no set project. You work on what you brought, at your own pace, alongside other people doing the same. An instructor is in the room if you get stuck on a zipper or a confusing pattern step, but nobody's going to be teaching. Come on your own, or bring a friend and a pile of mending. To use the machines, you should already know how to thread one and sew a straight seam. Hand menders of any level are welcome. New to the machine? Start with Beginning Machine Sewing and come back when you're ready. Refreshments provided. Only 8 spots each Friday, so reserve ahead. Our studio shares its campus, so occasionally a Friday may need to be cancelled for a building event. If that happens, we'll let you know at least 48 hours ahead, and you can choose a full refund or a credit toward another Friday.
